Richard Bright (ACIL)
Roundtables - Evaluating, Promoting and Managing Growth
Richard Bright, born and educated in Manchester, England, is the founder
of Bright Concepts Inc., a full-service association management company,
providing sales and marketing consulting, CEO coaching and sales training.
Since founding the company in 1997, Richard has sold in excess of $25
million in revenues for various organizations and has achieved significant
growth for all of his clients. Richard is also part of the management team
that manages ACIL, serving as the COO, and sits on the advisory board of
The Entrepreneurship Institute (TEI).
Steve Bowser (Bowser-Morner Inc.)
Earl Hess Lecture Series
- Handling Delicate Situations Ethically
President of ACIL charter member Bowser-Morner Inc. since 1985, Steve
Bowser ascended to his post after 17 years working in the family business,
which currently employs 140 in six offices in Ohio, Kentucky, Alabama and
Illinois, and provides geotechnical and construction materials engineering
and analytical testing services. Steve served first as a technician, then as
wastewater treatment product manager for 3 years, Toledo district manager
for 5 years and vice president and assistant general manager for 2 years.
The current ACIL Chair, Steve has served on the ACIL Board for 4 years
with 2 years assuming the additional responsibilities of secretary. A current
board member of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Ohio, he also served 9
years on the A2LA Board with 3 as chair, and is active with the Boy Scouts, and Wright Memorial
Committee, and serves as an Elder at Central Christian Church in Kettering, OH. Steve studied
business and engineering at the University of Cincinnati and Wright State University.
Derek A. Coppinger (NTS, Inc.)
Developing a High Performance Organization
Chief Operations Officer for National Technical Systems (NTS), Derek leverages
NTS’ broad service capabilities, personnel and capital assets to maximize
efficiency and effectiveness, and ensure that clients receive consistent, timely
and excellent service at all NTS locations. A visiting lecturer for the past 10
years at the University of New Hampshire, he currently sits on the board of the
American Council of Independent Laboratories (ACIL). Derek holds a Master’s
Degree in Science from Cranfield University in England, certification from the
National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and the Boston University
Pocket MBA for Lawyers. His work experience encompasses engineering,
operations, customer service and supply chain management.
